As I said you before, its a problem with the settings of your SEO plugin.
I’ve made changes to it. Lets hope for the best!

If the niche you cover on your blogs are different, then it would be better to have separate Facebook fan pages for each blog.

You can not merge your fan pages, and migrate fans/subscribers of one fan page to the other.

If you publish a thought tomorrow: “Life Is A Game, Play It!”

You could link to your old article: Three Steps To Relearning How To Play

And it would be like: “Life Is A Game, Play It!”

Like this, you can link to your old articles from your new articles, using relevant keywords.

Yes, its an SEO advantage if the blog loads faster.

You can use this plugin to optimize the images on your blog:

Install wp-smushit wordpress plugin. Activate it.

Log Into your wordpress dashboard -> got Media -> Bulk Smah It!
Click on “Run all my images through WP Smush.it right now”

Don’t worry, if you get some error messages at the end while its optimizing the images.

This tool will run all of the images in your media library through the WP Smush.it web service. It won’t re-smush images that were successfully smushed before. It will retry images that were not successfully smushed.

It uploads each and every file to Yahoo! and then downloads the resulting file. It can take a long time.

We found 25 images in your media library. Be forewarned, it will take at least 1.25 minutes to process all these images if they have never been smushed before.

N.B. If your server gzips content you may not see the progress updates as your files are processed.

    Yes. Keep using these words.

List all the possible words you want to rank for, in the search engine result.
Then, whenever relevant make sure to use those words in your articles.

Google algorithms will look for the weightage of keywords. By looking at its weightage, it decides about the niche of your blog. You can decide the weightage by using them more frequently on your blog posts.

    Its simple.

Now you must take a look at, Jefferson Graham interviewing Google engineer Matt Cutts on how to get your site to the top of Google with 5 basic, common sense SEO tips…..(don’t miss it)

Just use those words in your article for which you would like to rank for. Do not use irrelevant keywords. Use relevant ones and rank high for those relevant keywords. That would work for long term SEO.

Search engines take meta information that you provide with your articles. In early days, they would relay highly on these meta information. But people started tricking Google to rank high. So Google made changes to its algorithms and reduced the weightage to meta info that the authors provide.

But providing proper meta data helps. Google shows these meta info in its search results for your articles.
For example: The title, description you give in the meta title, meta description, meta keywords etc are shown in the search result for that article.

    To help improve your SEO:
Use this simple plugin High Performance SEO.
This plugin solves most of the problems.

    Fran,

Google uses almost 200+ signals to rank the websites. So it wouldn’t make sense to take this one pointer so seriously.

But it won’t hurt to publish article at a particular time of a day..thanks to the schedule post feature of WordPress.

Simply write your article and schedule it for publishing.

Google boots crawl the blog regularly. If they find new content on your blog at certain time of the day, that would help them crawl.

I guess you are using woothemes. This is probably a setting in woothemes framwork. If not, you’ll have to just post the image immediately after the title. That is, as the first line of code:

Goto HTML editor and type this html code as the first line in your article:

If nothing helps, then shoot a mail to WooTheme support team, and let us know the solutions too.

    There are two advantages:
People who started reading your blog recently would read your old articles if you regularly link to those good articles.

Second, search engines will crawl those links along with the keywords that you use to link them. That would signal Google search engine(search boot) to rank those articles to the keywords that you used to link them. and if those keywords are also found in the article content, it’ll treat the linking and the article as more genuine.

    Ex:
I have an old article about SEO on one of my other blogs. Now if I link them from here using some relevant keywords(relavent to that article), and then link that article, Google will think that the article is trust worth(because people are linking to it) and it will look at the keywords used inorder to link, that would ensure the relavency of the article. So, it’s good to link articles with proper keywords like Best SEO Tips. See the use of “Best SEO Tips” as keyword to link; instead of “click here” as a keyword. It makes a lot of difference over long term.

Our intention is not to trick Search Engines, but to help them crawl articles and organize them more efficiently.

Are you using any plugin to publish those articles on your fan page? If so, then just deactivate them.

Usually people use NetworkBlog app on Facebook to publish recent articles on Fan pages: if you’re using the app, just revoke its permission to access your fan page.

    That would solve the problem.

Do you mean to combine them into one and move all the fans to that one single page? If that is what you’re asking, then it’s not possible.

But it is possible to automatically post new articles from both of your blogs( Fran Sorin and Awake Create ) to a single fan page.

Ex: I have one fan page for both Technotip.org and Technotip.com All the contents are posted on that single fan page, and I call it Technotip.community!

in reply to: Question About Google +#1107

Fran, That message Google is showing is a big concern to many people. But as a matter of fact, Google is using G+ as a major factor to send traffic to your articles(site).

    Here is how it works:
Assume that you have 1000 people in your circle(friends in your Google plus a/c).
You like one of my article and click +1 to my article. When that article is shown on search engine result page(SERP) to people in your circle, along with the article link it will show that YOU liked(+1’ed) it. So people in your circle are more likely to visit and read that article.

This way, Google is using this social signal to bring more and more targetted and relavent things up in the search engine result page.

Now you have to decide whether or not to signup for Google Plus. For me: I don’t bother if they take my geographic location, web movement details secretly. So I’m already on Google Plus. And I also have a Technotip Fan page there.

PART 2: Once you are done with PART 1. Goto your phone settings -> About Phone -> Software update.

Now hit update. It may show error connecting to the network for some time.

In such situation, switch off and switch on your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.

Repeat the process, and hit “Update” button.

Once the update starts, relax and sit back. It will take some 15min to download. After that it will show a message that your mobile can not be used(even to make emergency calls) while its installing the updates.

Click Ok. and relax again. It will take some 20 to 30 min to install the updates.

Phone will be switched off and switched on. You need not interfear until its completely installed.

Once the installation is complete: Again goto settings -> About Phone -> Software update. and click on “Update”.
It will search for updates and in my case it installed some more new updates once again. So check it.

If there are no updates available, you’ll see a nice greeting saying:

You have the latest software and applications from Sony Ericsson.
Your phone is up to date!

If this message is shown at settings -> About Phone -> Software update, then your phone is updated to the latest version that your phone supports.

    Cheers!
